Semi-final round of the Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition 2025.

Over the past eight years, the competition organized by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) has become a leading prestigious academic platform for students passionate about logistics and supply chain management.

In 2025, the competition, themed “Enhancing Innovation Capacity in Sustainable Supply Chain Management,” aims to encourage students to apply new technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and green logistics models, to their research topics.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department,  Ministry of Industry and Trade , and Honorary Chairman of VALOMA, emphasized that a logistics workforce with technological expertise, digital thinking, and creativity is the core element for enhancing national competitiveness.

The Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition 2025 serves as a bridge to help students apply their knowledge,  technology  , and soft skills to business practices, thereby fostering a generation of young professionals ready to adapt to the digital age.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh, Head of Training and Human Resource Development at U&I Logistics Southern Region, stated that human resources are the golden key to unlocking sustainable development for  the logistics industry . We believe that each team competing today is a ‘golden link’ in the future human resource value chain of Vietnam.

Mr. Ly Thanh Hung – Director of U&I Logistics Northern Region – also expressed his expectations for the young generation of Vietnamese logistics:  “Through this competition, we see in you the image of future leaders – dynamic, creative, and ready to contribute to elevating the position of Vietnamese logistics.”

More than just a competition, this year’s semi-final round is considered a “mini-forum” on logistics, where students and businesses share perspectives and work together to solve the problem of developing  high-quality logistics human resources  in Vietnam.

In the semi-final round, each team had 5 minutes to present their report and 7 minutes for a direct Q&A session with the judging panel. All teams demonstrated professionalism, teamwork skills, and strategic thinking.

With 27 teams from the Northern region and 20 teams from the Southern region, the judging panel, comprising experts, lecturers, and leading business leaders, held a serious and impartial deliberation session. The teams had the opportunity to demonstrate their professional knowledge, ability to analyze real-world situations, critical thinking, and creativity in developing smart logistics solutions.

The two host universities, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, both affirmed that the competition is a place to honor talent, connect knowledge, businesses and practice, and is a ‘forum’ for the young generation of Vietnamese logistics to showcase their capabilities, intelligence, and aspirations to reach international standards.

Notably, this year’s competition continues to receive support from many large businesses and leading experts from institutes, universities, and organizations within the VALOMA network.

The participation of leading industry experts as judges has contributed to improving the professional quality and providing contestants with access to practical perspectives from businesses.
