At the Conference on the Implementation of Human Resource Development Projects and the “Three-Party” Cooperation (State, Schools, and Businesses) held in Hanoi on the morning of June 14, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the list of 13 higher education institutions that will become members of the system of Centers for Excellence and Talent in Technology Training.
Accordingly, in the field of new materials and construction technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering is tasked with playing a leading role as a center for training outstanding talents.
According to the plan, the system of Centers for Excellence and Talent Training will be developed based on the development of several existing universities by focusing investment on universities with strengths, serving as a nucleus to connect and exploit domestic and foreign resources for training, research, technology transfer, innovation, and entrepreneurship in a number of priority technology fields of Industry 4.0.
Therefore, it is essential to maximize the role of higher education institutions that have received investment in sharing resources, creating leadership, and spreading knowledge to develop a system of centers for excellence and talent in Industry 4.0 technology.
The project aims to establish at least one or two networks of excellence and talent training centers in each priority technology field of Industry 4.0. Specifically for artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, and biotechnology, the goal is to establish at least two or three networks of excellence and talent training centers across the North, Central, and South regions of Vietnam.
Each network of Centers for Excellence and Talent is led by a leading higher education institution and includes at least 55 higher education institutions along with a number of domestic and foreign businesses.
