☀️ On October 8th, 2024, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering solemnly organized the Welcome Program for K69 students and a business-student exchange for over 500 students from two majors: Logistics & Supply Chain Management and Hydraulic Engineering. This program included an exchange between new K69 students, senior students from the LGT class, and faculty and businesses; the awarding of annual scholarships to students with excellent academic results in the 2023-2024 academic year; and the awarding of scholarships to K69 new students with top entrance exam scores in the faculty.
Among the guests were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Lam – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Onelog Vietnam Technology Joint Stock Company, Mr. Le Huu Quang – General Director of Maritime Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company (CMB), and Mr. Dinh Quang Thanh – Director of the Center for Application and Development of Science and Technology in Port and Waterway Construction (VAPO). Representing the university were Mr. Bui Quang Trung, M.Sc. – Head of the Political Affairs and Student Management Department, Dr. Architect Ho Quoc Khanh – Head of the Communication and Admissions Department, Mr. Trinh Dinh Lai, M.Sc. – Deputy Head of the General Administration Department, and Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu – Head of the High-Quality Engineer Training and Management Board. Representing the Faculty of Information Technology were Dr. Bui Viet Dong, Dean; Dr. Nguyen Phuong Lam, Vice Dean; Dr. Mai Sy Hung, Vice Dean; and many other faculty members.
The program began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Bui Viet Dong, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology. He extended warm congratulations to the new students of cohort K69, encouraging them to study and train diligently , to establish themselves and build their careers ; thanked the businesses that sponsored the Faculty’s Scholarship Fund; and thanked the distinguished guests for their interest and time spent attending this exchange.
Next came presentations and introductions from representatives of various businesses, followed by interaction between students and faculty members of the Faculty of Information Technology. This Q&A session, filled with interesting questions about the industry, income, and job opportunities, generated enthusiastic applause and laughter in the auditorium.
The program took place in a lively, warm atmosphere, filled with excitement as students performed various artistic acts. The scholarship awarding ceremony was the most eagerly awaited part, with 20 students from class 69CTT and 13 students from class LGT receiving scholarships, including:
- 26 students received scholarships of 3 million VND each.
- Five students from class 69CTT received scholarships of 5 million VND each.
- In particular, student Phung Tuan Dung, the valedictorian of class K69CTT with the highest entrance exam score of 24.3 points, was awarded 10 million VND; student Tham Gia Linh, class 66LGT2, the best student in the entire Faculty with an average GPA of 3.91, was also awarded 10 million VND.
The program concluded with a lucky draw, where students had the chance to win attractive prizes from sponsors and encouragement awards for the winners.
