HANOI UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING SIGNS COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE HUNGARY WATER ASSOCIATION

On the afternoon of January 28, 2026, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) solemnly held the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hungarian Water Association (HWP). This event marks an important milestone, opening a new chapter in international cooperation and technology transfer between the two institutions.
The ceremony was honored with the presence of delegates from Hungary: Mr. Baloghdi Tibor – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Vietnam; Mr. Balint Balogh – Economic and Commercial Counselor; Mr. Robert Forintos – Co-Chairman of the Hungarian Water Association; and Ms. Timea Kricskovics – Project Coordinator in Vietnam.
Representing Hanoi University of Civil Engineering were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice Rector; Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Viet Nga – Director of the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Advanced Technology; Dr. Pham Tuan Hung – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering; MSc. Nghiem Ha Tan – Deputy Head of the Department of External Relations and International Cooperation, along with representatives from the leadership of affiliated units.
At the ceremony, representatives from HUCE and HWP agreed to establish a strategic partnership to strengthen connections in training, scientific research, and practical technology application. This agreement is expected to create high-quality academic exchange forums, promote the transfer of advanced technology in the water sector – a core strength of Hungary – and enhance the research capacity and international integration standing of HUCE lecturers and students.
Both sides believe that this long-term cooperative relationship will not only contribute to improving the quality of human resources but also provide practical technical solutions, contributing to the sustainable development of water supply, drainage, and environmental infrastructure in Vietnam.
