On December 23, 2025, at the headquarters of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) held a working session to discuss future cooperation.
Attending the meeting were: Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Deputy General Director of EVN Group, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Phu Doanh – Vice Rector of HUCE, along with representatives from the Faculties, Departments, and Offices of the University and units of EVN Group.
During the meeting, both sides focused on key areas of cooperation, including: training high-quality human resources (both short-term and long-term, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate levels) in specialized fields such as renewable energy, hydropower engineering, and especially nuclear power plants; training and application of BIM and AI in project management; research and application of advanced building materials and smart building technologies for energy projects and hydropower projects; and particularly focusing on areas that can be implemented as early as 2026, such as short-term training for personnel managing power supply for high-speed rail, urban rail, and energy and nuclear power plant construction. EVN Group also agreed to accept HUCE students for internships, practical training, site visits, and to collaborate in developing training programs that meet human resource needs.
This exchange and working session is the starting point, opening up new opportunities for cooperation between the two sides, helping to leverage strengths and strengthen the relationship between the university and businesses – a necessary and essential direction for higher education institutions.
