STUDENTS FROM HANOI UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING – TOP 1 STUDENT STARTUP 2025

With an explosive spirit of creativity, a group of students from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) surpassed hundreds of projects and excellently won first prize at the 2025 Student Startup Competition (SV.STARTUP) organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The project “transforming industrial waste into fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials” was carried out by three students: Dam Duc Son, Nguyen Quang Minh, and Doan Dinh Huy from the Faculty of Construction Materials.

From discarded materials, you have created new value – fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials, contributing to sustainable development goals and environmental protection.

CFIM is a fire-resistant and heat-insulating mortar, manufactured from 60% industrial waste from Cenospheres — a solution that is both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. For every 100 tons of CFIM, businesses can save up to 750 million VND in investment costs for fire protection systems.
