1. Laboratory C6 – HCMC University of Technology
The land area used is 2160 m² , which includes:
- A theoretical classroom on the second floor of building C6 has an area of 80m² : For the past 15 years, this room has always been used for theoretical and experimental classes for students participating in practical sessions at the laboratory.
- A General Hydraulics lab on the first floor of building C6, with an area of 150 m² , is used to guide students in conducting General Hydraulics experiments.
- A hydraulic engineering laboratory on the first floor of building C6 has an area of 160 m² : The room is equipped with glass troughs, slope adjustment troughs, hydroelectric testing equipment, etc., and is supplied with water from an outdoor water tank in the model yard. This room is used for hydraulic engineering experiments, serving postgraduate students and testing projects for production purposes.
- An outdoor model testing ground with a total area of approximately 1800 m² includes a hydraulic model testing ground for structures, rivers, etc., a pumping station with a total capacity of 1000 l/s (1 pump with a capacity of 500 l/s + 1 pump with a capacity of 200 l/s + 1 pump with a capacity of 100 l/s + 2 pumps with a capacity of 50 l/s), and a water tank for testing with a capacity of over 400 m³ . The entire model testing ground and test troughs are supplied with water from the pumping station through a system of steel pipes and water supply troughs.

The experimental water supply and collection system includes:
- 2 glass troughs, 60cm wide and 8m long.
- 1 glass trough 40cm wide with adjustable slope, 8m long
- A 2m wide, 10m long, sloped channel with varying incline.
- A 60cm wide and 10m long trough can create a water column difference of 8m for turbine and hydroelectric power plant experiments.

The trough is 2m wide with a variable slope and 10m long.

The TN hydroelectric power plant’s channel is 60cm wide and 10m long.

2. Laboratory 306, Laboratory Building – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering
The laboratory , with an area of 130 m² , is primarily used for theoretical instruction and laboratory work. It lacks a water supply and drainage system for hydraulic model testing. Most equipment has not been invested in to properly serve the functions and tasks of the Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory. Currently, there are two pieces of equipment for testing centrifugal pumps and turbines for students in the hydropower engineering program.
