47 teams from both North and South Vietnam officially compete in the semi-finals of the Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition 2025.

At 7:30 AM on October 25, 2025, the Semi-Finals of the Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition 2025 officially kicked off simultaneously in Hanoi (Hanoi University of Civil Engineering) and Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Minh City Open University), bringing together 47 of the best teams from universities, academies, and colleges nationwide.

For over eight years, the competition organized by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) has become a leading prestigious academic platform for students passionate about logistics and supply chain management. In 2025, the competition’s theme is “Enhancing Innovation Capacity in Sustainable Supply Chain Management,” aiming to encourage students to apply new technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and green logistics models, to their research topics.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha, Secretary General of the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (Valoma), emphasized: “Successfully organized since 2018, the competition has become a leading prestigious academic platform for students passionate about Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The competition is not only a place for students to showcase their knowledge, skills, and capabilities, but also a journey to spread the spirit of creativity, learning, and connection between students, universities, and businesses.” Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha’s opening speech clearly affirmed the position and significance of the competition in finding outstanding ideas, contributing to the formation of a specialized academic environment where students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to practice and engage with current issues in the industry. Through this, the young generation of Vietnamese logistics professionals increasingly demonstrates their thinking capacity, creativity, and readiness to integrate, becoming a core force in the digital transformation and sustainable development of the country.

Representing the diamond sponsor, Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh – Head of Training & Human Resource Development Department of U&I Logistics Southern Region, shared: “Human resources are the golden key to unlocking sustainable development for the logistics industry. We believe that each team competing today is a ‘golden link’ in the future human resource value chain of Vietnam.” From a practical perspective in the Northern region, Mr. Ly Thanh Hung – Director of Warehouse and Logistics at U&I Logistics Northern Region, also expressed his expectations for the young generation of Vietnamese logistics: “Through this competition, we see in you the image of future leaders – dynamic, creative, and ready to contribute to elevating the position of Vietnamese logistics.”

More than just a competition, this year’s Semi-Finals were likened to a “mini-forum” on logistics, where students and businesses shared perspectives and jointly solved the problem of developing high-quality logistics human resources in Vietnam. In the Semi-Finals, each team had 5 minutes to present their report and 7 minutes for a direct Q&A session with the Judging Panel. All teams demonstrated professionalism, teamwork skills, and strategic thinking. With 27 teams from the North and 20 from the South, the Judging Panel, comprised of experts, lecturers, and leading business leaders, conducted a serious and impartial deliberation. The teams not only presented their professional knowledge but also demonstrated their ability to analyze real-world situations, critical thinking, and creatively develop smart logistics solutions.

Representatives from the host institutions, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Ho Chi Minh City Open University, affirmed: “The competition is not only a place to honor talent but also a journey to connect knowledge, businesses, and practice, a place where the young generation of Vietnamese logistics can demonstrate their capabilities, intelligence, and aspirations to reach international standards.”
